Our History at kennel started with a Longhair Dachshund from Björkdalens kennel ( Sweden ) in 1973.
In February 1977 the first litter of Dachshunds was born. During the years 1976 - 1988 we breed 4 litters of Drever and also own one Hungarian Kuvasz between the years 1986 - 1989, though we did not breed from this.
In 1988 the kennel moved from the county Smaland to Vermland and then the Great Danes came into our kennel.
By this time we started to Show and breed more and
begin trying to get the Hunters to recognize the longhair Dachshund as a good dog for hunting.
In 1993 one of our breed bitches got a prize for her progeny that has
been awarded when they did tracking by hunting.
This was the first time ever in the Swedish Dachshund club history
that a longhair Dachshund achieved this award.
From 1988 onwards the kennel has accomplisked to get Fild trial champions, Internationell, Swedish, Norweigan, Finish and Danish Show champions and icing on the cake Best in Show, Best in Group wins, as well as Best in Show- veteran.
When the Great Dane came in to the kennel
Since the Great Dane came into our position in 1988 have we also had an amdent of success
with the breed. Our male Hotpoint's Royal Flush was also Swedish, Norweigan, Danish champion
and he was the first dog to become an International Champion for us.
Hotpoint's Royal Flush was also on the Norweigan Great Dane Club 5-toplist for 4 years successively.
In 1993 Hotpoint's Hope and Pray joined the gang,at 6 months old. Pretty soon we did realize that she was something special as on her first Show as a puppy,
she won Best of Breed and Best in Group-3 and on the second attempt Best in Show.
After this start it all came easily and she became Swedish, Norweigan, Danish and an International Champion in no time at all. She also get the title Finish champion in May 1999.
On top of all this she wast the most winning Great Dane in Norway in 1995 and was also twice Best in Show at the Norweigan Great Dane Specialty.
In the winter 1996 she was in whelp but unfortunately
she produced only 1 male puppy and sad enough he died at 1 year old.
She continues her Show career with several Best of Breed wins and also Best in Group placings and as always she finished the year in grand style by becoming the Amsterdam winning nov.1996 , in spite of being in whelp.
Janyary 26th 1997 she produced a litter of 8 bitches, 3 brindles and 5 fawns.
These puppies are now spread over Norway, Denmark, Germany and Sweden.
For our selves we did keep a fawn Hultengen's Meg Ryan and at 9 mouths of age she got her first Norweigan CC.
In the last year she get one more Norweigan CC.
Meg Ryan did not like the showrings soo insted we mate her.
In 2000 she give birth to her first litters, 3 puppies and the next year 2001 she give birth to 6 puppies,
one of thouse puppies a female keep we at the kennel and it was the fawn Hultengen's Quinnie.
In year 2001 Hultengen's kennel import a dachshunds male
